Machukha signed with Belgian music label Consouling Sounds for production of their debut album Mochari. “The band's lyrical and musical narratives reflect their journey of embracing pain and learning to let go by surrendering to it. Machukha invites the listener to acknowledge their pain, to grieve by embracing acceptance, ultimately to emerge stronger,” states band’s website.
Problem
Design of vinyl cover and label, as well as CD cover and body, should have trans-mitted the feelings and emotions that the listener can expect on his journey of Machukha’s music exploration.
Solution
Noisy textures were employed to cultivate a serene atmosphere, fostering a sense of calmness and presence. A bold gradient logo was utilized to evoke depth and emotional resonance, hinting at underlying darkness and pain. The accent color is a skin tone, it symbolizes the human body's capacity to reflect and endure pain—a poignant reminder of shared vulnerability.
